Andrei Suzdaltsev: Operation to extradite Baumgertner from Belarus probably under way

  • 24.09.2013, 13:11

The complete absence of information about Uralkali CEO gives grounds to suppose so.

Politologist Andrei Suzdaltsev spoke to charter97.org about a conversation about Uralkali that Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka had in Sochi.

“There's no information so far. The Prosecutor's General Office is silent. I'd like to suppose that a possible reason is some arrangements relating to the extradition of Vladislav Baumgertner. But we have no confirmations. That's the problem. Perhaps it's too early to speak about it,” the expert said.

All information about Baumgertner is practically unavailable in Moscow, according to him.

“It's clear, because the operation of his extradition from Belarus is probably under way. The people dealing with it try to avoid any surprises. This is all they can do. We can only guess now,” Andrei Suzdaltsev said.

The president of Russia and the Belarusian ruler talked about Uralkali yesterday during a meeting on the sidelines of the CSTO summit in Sochi.
