Businessman gets 5 days in custody for white-red-white flag

Illia Dabtatvor has been given 5 says in custody.

The verdict was delivered by judge Siarhei Bandarenka. As charter97.org learnt, Illia Dabratvor was charged with violating article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences. A witness – police officer Ravshan Aliyeu detained the activists – said he had used foul language.

Illia Dabratvor was detained at Uruchcha metro station on Friday for having an unfurled white-red-white flag in his hands. The trial against the activist was held in the Pershamaiski district court.

The activist said two weeks ago about pressure on him from management of the firm Kapsch where he worked. Earlier, he lost his sole proprietor status.

Illia Dabratvor is an activist of the solidarity movement Razam (the Czech Republic). He was a candidate in the Minsk rural constituency election No. 76 in 2012. He disclosed facts of ballot rigging at the election. He was arrested and fined several times for taking part in opposition rallies.
