Interpol issued a warrant for the arrest of top managers BPC

Interpol has confirmed that an international warrant had been issued to arrest Oleg Petrov, Konstantin Solodovnikov, Igor Yevstratov, Dmitry Samoilov.

They had been put on the wanted list by the Belarusian side, BelTA learned from the Information and Public Relations Office of the Investigation Committee of Belarus.

“The Investigation Committee of the Republic of Belarus has received a confirmation sent by central bodies of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), which are based in Lyon, France. It confirms that an international arrest warrant has been issued for ZAO Belarusian Potash Company’s wanted top managers Oleg Petrov, Konstantin Solodovnikov, Igor Yevstratov, Dmitry Samoilov,” said the source.

The source explained that the listed persons have to be apprehended in Interpol member states, with confinement under guard as a pre-trial restriction.

The four top managers of ZAO Belarusian Potash Company are on the wanted list as part of the investigation launched by the Prosecutor General’s Office upon charges specified by part 3, article 424 of the Criminal Code – abusive exercise of power and abuse of office. The criminal proceedings have been initiated upon reports testifying that these people had abused their office powers for selfish goals. The abuse had resulted in considerable damage to state and public interests of the Republic of Belarus as well as extraordinary economic damage for OAO Belaruskali and ZAO Belarusian Potash Company. One of the accused - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ZAO Belarusian Potash Company Vladislav Baumgertner – has been apprehended and taken into custody.
