Cigarette prices go up again

Prices of some kinds of cigarettes will grow in Belarus on September 1.

The information was provided by the Ministry of Taxes and Duties.

The maximum retail prices of cigarettes of Tabak-Invest company Korona and Korona Golubaya will grow 3.3% to Br6,200, Korona Slim – by 3.6% to Br5,700, Korona Stil and Korona Elit – by 1.9% to Br5,400, Fort and Fort 7 – by 3.8% to Br5,500. The price of Winston Xsence Blue and Winston XSence Silver will increase 4.3% to Br12,000, Interfax news agency reports.

Prices of the cigarettes that haven't been sold in Belarus before were set. Sobranie Black, Sobranie Blue and Sobranie Gold will cost Br20,000; Camel Filters, Camel Blue and Camel Silver – Br11,800 and KENT iSWITCH – Br13,500.

Maximum retail prices of cigarettes have been set every month since the beginning of 2012 on requests of manufacturers and tobacco importers.
