Park’s maintenance manager found a grenade in a litter bin in Zhlobin

The emergency took place in the park Prydniaprouski in Zhlobin.

Homiel region executive committee’s press-service has reported about the incident.

The park’s maintenance manager reported about the finding as he called to a police department and said that in one of the garbage cans there was an object resembling a grenade. Police cordoned off the area, and an engineer-pyrotechnic group left for Zhlobin from Babrujsk.

The alert was not vain. Out of the garbage can the group extracted an F1 grenade from the World War II times, which was subsequently discharged.

It is yet unknown how the dangerous item ended up in the park’s litter bin.
