Expensive car confiscated for failure to pay customs duties.

The Kastrychnitski District Court in Minsk ordered the confiscation of a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG after the owner of the imported vehicle failed to pay more than 100 million rubels ($11,300) in customs duties.

The man produced documents indicating that the vehicle, manufactured in 2012, was worth €106,900, but an investigation found that the vehicle's real value was €125,500, the press office of the State Customs Committee reported on Monday.

The owner was accused of providing false information to customs authorities, which is punishable under Part Five of the Civil Offenses Code' Article 14.1, the press office said.
