BCD activist Prakapovich to be tried

Pavel Prakapovich, a member of the organising committee to found the Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD), was detained in Minsk on July 7.

He was detained during a street action on the 13th anniversary of the disappearance of journalist Dzmitry Zavadski. Details are unknown because the activist was alone, the BCD press service reports.

The activist informed about the detention on the morning of July 8. He sent an SMS saying that he would be tried in the Savetski district court from 9:30 to 10:00. Pavel Prakapovich spent the night in the detention facility.
