A private farm owner in the Hrodna region had all of his 600 hogs culled by veterinarians battling the spread of African swine fever.

Ivan Harlukovich's farm is located in the Ashmyany district, not far away from the Iwye district where Belarus' first-ever case of the virus was registered in June, reported Radio Svaboda.

When reached by RFE/RL, Mr. Harlukovich said that all of his hogs had been culled and buried but declined to give any other details.
