Football players delayed a match for 15 minutes protesting against low salaries.

The incident happened on July 29 at the match against FC Minsk-2, the website Narodnye Novosti Videbska writes.

Football players delayed the game and wanted to take the field wearing jerseys “We play for free”. The footballers say they have low salaries (1.5—3 million rubles) and late payments.

Police officers went to the dressing room after 5 minutes of the delay. Football players were offered the choice: either they put on their club uniform or they don't play at all. The team had to choose the first variant.

The game ended 1-0 to Vitebsk.

Head coach Yury Kanapliou has been invited to the city executive committee today to talk about problems of the club.
