Belarusians were advised not to travel to Egyptian cities, outside the resort areas.

In connection with increasing tensions in Egypt, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Belarus advises Belarusian nationals to avoid visiting Egyptian towns outside resort areas except for emergency cases. The press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The situation in Egypt has seriously escalated in the run-up to the anniversary of Mohamed Morsi’s inauguration, as the opposition plans to hold mass protests against the Islamists’ policy on 30 June. For the last two weeks Egypt has been in the grip of mounting hostilities.
