Belarus leads in price growth in January-April 2013

Belarus holds the first place in price growth in January-April 2013 among former Soviet republics.

Official statistics data indicate that.

In first four months of 2013 prices have grown in Belarus by 5.9%. At the same time the growth in Russia account for 2.4%, in Ukraine – 0.1%, Georgia – 0.3%, Lithuania – 0.7%, Kazakhstan – 2.2%.

According to the data by the Statistics Committee, our country has shared the first place in price growth with Russia in April. At the same time in some neighboring countries, for example in Latvia or Ukraine, prices have not changed. And in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan and Estonia they have decreased by 0.1%

We would remind that in 2011 and 2012 Belarus was the leader in price growth among the republics of the former USSR. It accounted for 108.7 and 21.8% respectively.
