Andrei Sannikov in Prague

A meeting with the leader of the European Belarus civic campaign took place in Vaclav Havel library.  

According to Radio Svaboda, the leader of the European Belarus civic campaign, former political prisoner and presidential candidate in 2010 Andrei Sannikov came to Czech Republic for the premiere of the performance “Flying over rainbow”, based on the fairy tales that he had sent his son Danik from prison.

The performance’s premiere will take place in Naïve theatre in Liberec on Saturday, 11 May.

The theatrical play, based on the fairy tales for Danik was written by a Czech playwright, actor and director Rene Levinski, who under different pseudonyms creates works aimed at different audiences.

The play “Flying over rainbow” has been translated into Belarusian by Siarhei Smatrychenka. The excerpts from it were read publicly by the actor of Belarus Free Theater couple months ago.

A meeting with Andrei Sannikov and the play’s authors took place in Vaclav Havel library on the eve of the premiere.
