Makei is among organisers of provocations on December 19, 2010

Uladzimir Makei is presented today as a main organiser of the “dialogue” between the Belarusian dictatorship and the EU.

A former head of Lukashenka's administration and now foreign minister, Uladzimir Makei is displayed almost as a main liberal of Belarus, though he is rightly subject to the EU sanctions.

Like most officials in Lukashenka's team, Makei worked for security services and played one of the key roles in the provocations on December 19, 2010, and later. Ahead of the 2006 elections, KGB chief Sukharenka intimidated protesting Belarusians, but in 2010, it was Makei, the head of Lukashenka's administration, who scare protesters with terrorist attacks in 2010.

Channel One Russia showed a news story in the run-up to the 2010 presidential elections. As journalists noted, the head of Lukashenka's administration “accidentally on purpose said about the terrorist attacks being prepared”.
