Lots of riot policemen with walkie-talkies in Minsk centre

Lukashenka is going to visit Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University today.

The information was spread by the press service of the Belarusian ruler.

Lukashenka is expected to hear reports on the current state and prospects for development of the university and examine the university facilities. He also plans to “talk to students and the academic staff and answer their questions”.

Twitter users report about a large number of plainclothes police officers, riot policemen and road police cars along Independence Avenue in Minsk.

Students say security officers with dogs have been conducting a security sweep of the territory near the university for the third day.

It should be reminded that tight security measures are taken up during all visits of the Belarusian ruler.
