Aliaksandr Mekh detained in Kobrin

The civic activist was detained for discussing the country’s economic situation in a line for a fluorography.

A local policeman Anatol Dzhiga did not like the personal conversation between Aliaksandr Mekh and a woman in the line about government’s latest borrowings. Mekh said that our children would not have future since these are them who will have to pay the debts.

According to Mekh, Dzhiga took him out of the line, then took him to the street and called KGB, the human rights center Viasna reports.

The policeman refused to comment in the situation.

It is most likely that the civic activist is now at the local KGB office.
