Homiel resident detained for “Lukashenka, go away” T-shirt

An opposition activist Jury Rubcou was detained at the Dziady manifestation in Minsk.

European Belarus civic campaign’s activists reported to the charter97.org web-site about the incident. Jury Rubcou was detained near Karbyshava bus station. He was taking part in the procession. Two policemen approached the man running and, having twisted his arms, pushed into a blue Volkswagen minivan. They did not tell the reasons for the detention.

The detained man was taken to a police station in Karbyshava street. Most likely, the reason to that was the refusal to take off the T-shirt with the writing “Lukashenka, go away” on it.
