Pralaskouski: Oppositional web-sites are mainly read by officials

Minister of Information claimed that “the level of public trust to state media is very high”.

The Minister of Information of Belarus Aleh Pralaskouski stated that today at the session of Viciebsk region’s executive committee, BelTA reports.

“There are enough objective sociological studies, which indicate a very high level of public trust to state media”, - Aleh Pralaskouski said.

Together with that the Information Minister expressed his opinion on oppositional internet information sources. “Oppositional web-sites should not be demonized. Deep down, those are web-sites for the state’s officials. They write – we read. These internet information source are not very popular. They should not require a closer look”, - he is convinced.

We would remind that earlier those were the editor-in-chief of the Soviet Belorussia newspaper Paviel Jakubovich and the anchor of a propagandist TV show “Picture of the world” Jury Kazijatka, who admitted that independent media were popular with Lukashenka’s officials.
