Eduard Lobau, who serves his term in correctional colony No. 22 in Ivatsevichy, was permitted to have a short-term meeting with his mother.

Charter97.org has learnt the news from Eduard's mother Maryna Lobava.

“Eduard met with a priest on Tuesday. I visited him today. We talked for two hours through a glass barrier. He is healthy and in a good mood. I took a package with me and the prison staff gave it to Eduard,” she said.

Maryna Lobava noted Eduard continued to take welding lessons at a vocational school in the colony.

“He tries to use the received knowledge in practice. They have both theory and practice. The prison authorities don't create problems here. That's good,” the mother of the political prisoner added.

We remind that Eduard Lobau and Young Front leader Zmitser Dashkevich were detained in Minsk on December 18, 2010. Their arrest was a preventive measure by the security services and the police ahead of the presidential election that was held next day.
