Belneftekhim’s manager detained with his accomplices

Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim Vladimir Volkov was detained together with his accomplices from private entities.

Lukashenka told it a press conference for Russian regional mass media.

“Not long ago the Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim was arrested for bribes, for the distribution of contracts. A number of his accomplices from private entities were arrested as well. All are behind bars now,” he said.

As reported earlier, Belarus’ Investigation Committee opened a case against the Deputy Chairman of Belneftekhim Concern. He was detained by the general directorate for combating organized crime and corruption of the Interior Ministry of Belarus after he received the bribe from a representative of one of the legal entities for the favorable decision on the volume of oil by-products to be processed at the enterprises of the concern.

Vladimir Volkov was detained in his office. The amount of the money he illegally obtained from February to October amounted to $19,000.
