Other representatives of the regime will not attend the summit either.

No representatives of the Belarusian regime will be invited to the EaP summit in Vilnius during Lithuania's EU presidency, Lithuanian president's advisor on foreign affairs Jovita Neliupšienė said.

“The Eastern Partnership project was launched to promote cooperation of governments, but the people subject to restrictions will not be invited to the meeting,” Neliupšienė said to journalists answering a question if Belarus's representatives would be invited to the summit.

The European Union imposed restrictions, including a ban on entering the EU countries, on high-ranking Belarusian officials for human rights violations by the Lukashenka regime.
