A former presidential candidate says the “elections” were rigged.

Viktar Tyareshchanka will demand new elections on the grounds of evidence of rigged voting results he has. He plans to apply to the Central Election Commission and Prosecutor General's Office with this demand, BelaPAN news agency reports.

He says the executive branch worked for chair of the Sharkaushchyna district executive committee Mechyslau Morkhat. The politician says the authorities hindered his campaign.

Tyareshchanka says he has information from members of district election commissions confirming the elections were falsified. He also has audio and video recordings of the process of rigging the election results.

The politician proposes to hold re-election in the Sharkaushchyna constituency on one voting day from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
