Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Savinykh stated that US accusations of Belvneshpromservice supplying weapons to Syria have no grounds and are not true.

According to him, they are caused by “open and essential position of Belarus in favor of peaceful settlement of Syrian internal conflict.

“It is important to stress that US sanctions contradict the spirit of constructive cooperation between the nations based on the international law and mutual respect. We positively reject this approach and consider application of one-sided measures unacceptable,” said Andrei Savinykh.

As charter97.org reported, US Ministry of Finance imposed sanctions against Belarusian Company “Belvneshpromservice”, which is accused of supplying mass destruction weapons to the President of Syria Bashar al-Assad.
