BSTU residence hall supervisor: You'll receive a room after you vote

Students across the country continue to report about attempts to force them to vote early.

A reader of Nasha Niva newspaper writes how students of Belarusian State Technical University (BSTU) are made to vote early.

“Technical University, residence hall no. 2. Staff representatives visit room and ask students to write when they will vote. It is said those who vote early will not be punished for missing classes on Saturday. By the way, some agree to vote early to have an extra day off. One more thing: most of the students were given rooms only for two months. The supervisor says he will inform whether a student will be given rooms for the rest of the year only after he or she votes,” an angry student writes.

The website charter97.org already reported about numerous cases of enforced early voting in other universities across the country.
