Police burst into a building during a workshop of youth organizations.

Several officers of the migration service of Mahilou's Leninski district burst into a building when representatives of youth wings of liberal parties were holding a workshop with participation of foreign guests. Police detained the foreign nationals, who left their passport at a hotel, ucpb.org reports.

A workshop participant, accompanied by officials, went to the hotel to take passports. The foreign citizens are representatives of an international youth liberal organization from Austria, Germany, the Netherlands and the US. They came to Belarus to visit the workshop dedicated to the so called election campaign.

Police wrote down passport information of Belarusians – representatives of youth branches of democratic parties Civil Forum, BCD and UCP – and promised to have a “serious conversation” with them in the nearest future.

Foreign citizens may be fined or deported.

The workshop took place in the technology park building in Mahilou.
