Brest Democrats appealed to the PA of the OSCE

Democratic coalition "The Heritage" called for a moratorium on “elections” observation.

Brest Democrats objected that "such a respected International Institute as the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe becomes a tool in the hands of a criminal regime" and called on the OSCE mission to reconsider its approach to the "elections" in Belarus.

This is stated in an address to the OSCE PA President Riccardo Migliori and the head of the observer mission Matteo Mecacci.

"The elections are not possible when the usurpers are treated like elected representatives of the people. We call OSCE to de facto recognize the illegitimacy of the Lukashenka’s regime, and therefore the absence of the institution of elections. We call to declare a moratorium on the "election monitoring" in Belarus and to recommend to refrain from dealing with the illegitimate government of Belarus ", - is said in the statement.

Participants of "The Heritage" believe that the criteria of return of the OSCE to Belarus should be an open position of the country to international investigation of disappearance of Victar Ganchar, Yuri Zakharenka, Dmitry Zavadsky and others; Minsk subway explosion in 2011; the release and rehabilitation of all political prisoners.
