The head of the National Bank admits the possibility of gradual devaluation.

Recall, Lukashenka said that he does not understand what is the source of rumors and speculations about the coming devaluation of the Belarusian ruble. Yesterday Nadezhda Yarmakova confirmed his words. The need for a sharp devaluation of the national currency in Belarus is absent, told she to reporters, informs BelTA.

"There will be no some one-off devaluation, it is not necessary. A gradual devaluation? It is not excluded," - she said.

However, analyzing the inflow of currency into the country and its outflow, the National Bank sees no significant changes.

"A huge amount of money is accumulated at the accounts of enterprises, about $ 4 billion in deposits; private accounts of the population have a lot of currency. There is no need for a sharp devaluation," - said the head of the National Bank.

Speaking of whether we shallexpect a denomination of the national currency, Nadezhda Yarmakova said: "denomination - it is, in other words, when the zeros are dropped. Incomes of the population will increase, the amount of money in its wallets will increase, so one day we will have to do a denomination. I think that this year it is too early to talk about it; the next year, probably in the middle of it, we will start thinking about it, because our incomes will increase a lot."
