Candidate Alena Famina detained on border again

Belarusian customs officers on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border again searches bags of Alena Famina, a candidate in Vitebsk-Horki constituency No. 17.

The train from Minsk to Vilnius was delayed due to the search, Radio Svaboda reports.

It has been the second search for the last two weeks. Alena Famina was already detained in early September as she was returning from Poland. Her luggage was searched twice and she had to underwent a bodily search. Customs officers were looking for a large sum of money they suspected she had.
