Petryshenka sent to embassy, Mikhnevich - to MFA

Lukashenka has appointed new ambassador to Russia and new first deputy foreign minister.

Lukashenka appointed former Deputy Foreign Minister Ihar Petryshenka Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation, BelTA news agency reports.

The head of state also approved the appointment of Alyaksandr Mikhnevich as First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus. Mikhnevich was relieved of his post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
