Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Macedonia Antonio Milošoski will head the OSCE ODIHR mission of observers of the "parliamentary elections" in Belarus.

His deputy will be the U.S. representative, Donald Beeson. Experts from Poland, Serbia, Armenia, Italy will work as analysts.

According to Nikolai Lozovik, “the routine practice of OSCE missions is the following: a long-term mission comes first, then the turn for a short-term mission.” He added that the main work would be done by the ODIHR representatives and the work would be assessed by the head of the OSCE PA mission.

CEC Chairwoman Lidia Yermoshina said for her part: “As far as we know, the forward group of the OSCE mission is expected on 21 August. I think we will accredit the people they will present by 20 August. They have not been presented yet.”

The Central Election Commission has so far accredited 27 CIS observers.
