Mikalai Dzyamidzenka detained by 7 special task soldiers

A Young Front activist was accused of swearing.

The trial against Mikalai Dzyamidzenka begins today in Minsk's Frunzenski district court. The activist is charged with swearing, Radio Svaboda reports.

The trial is conducted by judge Dzmitry Lukashevich.

Mikalai said he had been detained yesterday afternoon near his home in Minsk. He was attacked by seven special task soldiers, who gave no explanations. A police report for alleged swearing was drawn up against him and he was taken to a detention centre in Akrestin Street.

Mikalai's relatives and friends were looking for him for the whole day yesterday.
