Political prisoner Dyadok celebrates his birthday in prison

On august 23 political prisoner Mikalai Dyadok, sentenced to 4.5 years of colony of strict regime, turns 24 years.

This is the second birthday, which he celebrates in jail. This time, he will be celebrating it alone: for 2.5 months he sits in solitary confinement cell-type room IK-17, writes abc-belarus.org.

Recall, Mikalai Dyadok, as well as the defendants in the same case Igor Alinevich, Aliaxandar Frantskevich, and Maxim Vetkin, has been convicted by a Zavodskoy district court of Minsk on May 27, 2011. They were found guilty of offenses under Part 2 of Art. 339 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (hooliganism) and Part 2 and 3 of Art. 218 of the Criminal Code (intentional destruction or damage of property). They incriminated a series of attacks on building, arsons, in particular, holding an unauthorized anti-war rally near the building of the Ministry of Defence in 2009, throwing Molotov cocktails at the territory of the Russian Embassy in Minsk and the prison building on Akrestin Street in 2010.
