The presentation took part in Minsk on August 15.

The programme worked out by For Freedom movement in collaboration with experts contains proposals to reform the public, political and economic systems in Belarus. The work over the programme started ahead of the 2010 presidential election and the most active stage was amid crisis in 2011. Authors say about 40 Belarusian experts in different areas were involved in preparing the People's Programme, BelaPAN news agency reports.

Deputy head of BPF party Ihar Lyalkou said during the presentation the work over the package of reforms should continue and the People's Programme should be amended with a view to the presidential elections.

“I think it's common knowledge that the opposition in general does not have antagonistic or contrary views. We have the foundation of ideas that can unite us. We have had it for a long time. There are in fact two questions on the way to consolidation – ambitions of certain leaders and a programme document that could be signed by everyone, that couldn't conflict with programmes of different democratic organization and parties,” Lyalkou said.

The politician is confident all democratic parties will sign the People's Programme.
