BCD activist, beaten by police, fined again

(updated) Volha Pansevich has been fined 2.4 million rubles.

On July 3, activist of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party Volha Pansevich, was detained near the Slonim district executive committee, bchd.info reports.

The girl was accused of defiance to police. She was tried today.

As charter97.org website already reports, Volha Pansevich was detained by police on April 21 on her way home and taken to a detention centre.

Policemen mocked Volha beating her, throwing to the ground and making to take a stress position.

A police report was drawn up against Volha. She was accused of swearing and tried.
