Galickaja: I was kept for 10 hours in the "glass" without food and water

The arrest of a civil activist looked like a kidnapping.

This afternoon, after ten days of arrest in Akrestsin, was released Catherine Galickaja.

On July 17 she was detained right in the court of October district, where she had come to observe the trial of detained democracy activists.

In an interview to charter97.org Kasia Galickaja said that her arrest looked like a kidnapping.

"Before I spoke to the counsel in the court, two men in tracksuits suddenly approached me, twisted my arms and dragged me into the inner courtyard. I started to resist, scream and then one of them showed his certificate. After that I was thrown into the car and drove to the police department of the Moscow district. There I spent ten hours in the "glass" without food and water, and then taken to the Akrestsin", - told Kasia.

The next day the girl was taken to the Court of the Moscow district.

"My process was led by the Judge Tatiana Motyl, which is known for her sentences of the members of the “Young Front”. Two policemen were witnesses at the trial. One of them has detained me, the second one I saw for the first time in my life. I told the judge that I have a cat and a dog at home, and there is nobody to look after them, except for me. But the judge Motyl was not interested in that"- shared his experience the civil activist.

As a result, Kasya Galicia was sentenced to ten days in Akrestsin jail on charges of disorderly conduct.
