Belarus is being prepared to be Soviet style vigilant

Belarus needs a common security law which could teach all the citizens to be vigilant.

This opinion was said by the Belarusian House of Representatives of National Assembly’s deputy chairman Anatoly Vankovich.

As Anatoly Vankovich ( deputy chairman of the national security’s permanent commission of House of Representatives, chairman of Parliament’s security, defense and criminal activity reunion Assembly) said, Belarus needs today a common security law.

“But this fundamental law should be for everyone because it is important, as concerns the security questions, that not only the power block works. Beginning from the smallest section, from any enterprise, the director should know and understand not only the security questions concerning fire safety, labour protection, but in general and in each individual situation the director has to know how to act. I understand that will be more likely cost-based, because it needs teaching and the people who will teach. But this is indispensable!”

It concerns not only the development and taking the law, but also about the global vigilance teaching to all Belarusian citizens - almost the same way how it was in the Soviet Union. The law will concern all spheres of society activity and make the special accent on information security of the state.

“Look at the range of states which were before on the world’s map and disappeared now, - they stopped to exist in a very short period of time. Why? Because they didn’t pay much attention to the security questions. The thing is, today we have to consider seriously the information weapon. This approach has to be stricter. Because the affect of this kind of weapon can be much more scary and powerful that the weapon of mass destruction. We have talked about it and we keep talking” – said Vankovich.

Moreover, according to the deputy, we should pay a special attention to the youth and work with them.

The deputies of our Assembly concerning security, defense and criminal activity saying that we have to put a question about the military, patriotic, moral and spiritual education of our youth. It’s necessary to do it”, summarized Anatoly Vankovich.
