Hurricane in Homel overturned trees and blew off roofs (Photo)

The damage from a sudden storm is currently being assessed in Homel.

The hurricane hit the city on June 13. The wind was so strong that some trees were overturned onto the cars, while the roofs were blown off the houses. The storm damaged power lines and street light stanchion poles. The electricity was cut off in some houses.

The central square suffered most of all. A dozen large trees felled and damaged there.

According to the preliminary information, no one was hurt. Workers of public utilities arrived at the scene and quickly cleared up the pathways.
