Policeman in “Kanavalau's case” thrown behind bars

Vitaly Rahacheuski was sentenced to 3 years in prison.

It was said by the Belarusian television in a film Metro about the bombing attack in the Minsk metro system, Euroradio reports.

The convicted policeman was patrolling the entrance to the Frunzenskaya metro station on April 11, 2011. CCTV footage showed Dzmitry Kanavalau carrying a big bag and passing by the policeman, who did not turned attention to him. A separate criminal case against the police officer was opened. On February 1, 2012, he was sentenced to 3 years' imprisonment.
