Alla Sannikova: I’m living on faith only

The mother of the presidential candidate, a political prisoner Andrei Sannikov does not know whether her son would be released in the near future.

“I do not know. I certainly live on hope and put faith on that, I want to believe in wisdom of our authorities, and that they would have enough wisdom to release Andrei. But whether my dream is to come true, I do not know. Judging by all the circumstances, there is little hope. But hope and faith should always dwell in people’s hearts. I’m living on a hope, and the time will tell the rest,” Alla Sannikova said in an interview to charter97.org.

Andrei Sannikov’s mother expresses deepest gratitude to all the people who had congratulated her son on his birthday on March 8.

“So many people have responded, there were so many congratulations. Andrei Sannikov’s supporters, “European Belarus” activists, and members of many other organizations have held so many solidarity rallies. Women, members of the congregation of St. Joseph Church (Roman Catholic Church), who had been holding prayer services near the church for so many years, congratulated me so cordially and warmly. They have passed the Bible for Andrei, they prayed for Andrei. I was to express thanks everyone. You are making me warm, you have comforted me, reaffirmed my hope and faith,” Alla Sannikova said to charter97.org.
