Germany, France, Poland threat to slap new sanctions

EU's biggest countries demand the Belarusian authorities to release political prisoners.

After recalling their ambassadors, Germany, France and Poland threat to impose new sanctions on Belarus.

The foreign ministers of three EU countries talked about this possibility at the Weimar Triangle meeting in Berlin, a three-member institution founded by Berlin, Paris and Warsaw two decades ago for holding political consultations.

The foreign affairs ministers of Germany, France and Poland demanded to free all political prisoners in Belarus and carry out democratic reforms in the country.

Otherwise, additional sanctions against Minsk will be imposed, the foreign minsters of the three countries warn, ITAR-TASS informs.
