The leader of the unregistered Union of Young Intellectuals from Navapolatsk has been summoned to the Vitebsk KGB to give evidence in Andrei Haidukou's case.

“I had a telephone call on December 5 from investigator Barysevich, who conducts Andrei's case. He said I needed to appear in the KGB office to give evidence,” Yauheny Kanstantinau told Salidarnast. “I don't know what kind of evidence they expect me to give. I wasn't with Andrei in Vitebsk when he was arrested. I didn't even know he had gone to Vitebsk.”

The activist plans to consult human rights activists if he should go to the KGB and give evidence.

Andrei Haidukou was transferred to detention facility No. 2 in Vitebsk last week. The first letter from the arrested activist, who is charged with spying, was received recently.
