A performance forbidden in Mogilev because of an anonymous complaint

The performance “Dead and living figures” was supposed to take place on the stage of the Mogilev regional puppet theater on 22 November.

It was cancelled because of an anonymous complaint from a spectator, gorad.by reports.

The complaint was written by an anonymous spectator after the performance “ROT” which took place on 21 October and the sense of which was allegedly not explained.

This performance and the play “Dead and living figures” are parts of an experimental project “Different stage”. Apparently that is why it was decided to cancel both performances.

The performance “Dead and living figures” was supposed to be staged in the puppet theater for the third time in a row. Previews were held in July and September 2012. The performance is designed for adult audience. Its idea and execution is made by the actors of the Mogilev puppet theater Youry Dzivakou and Tatsiana Dusheuskaya.
