It is 20% more than the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company received from country's budget in 2012.

This statement was made by member of “parliament” Valyantina Leanovich in an interview with Euroradio.

“The budget of the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company is 454 billion. I don't know how much is planned for the consolidated budget and how much they will earn on advertising, but this is the sum they have from the state budget,” she said.

In accordance with today's exchange rate, the Belarusian television is expected to receive 53,411,000 dollars. In 2011, the state budget gave the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company 360 billion rubles, which is slightly more than 43 million dollars (under the exchange rate of December 2011).

In spite of a significant increase in funding, the Belarusian State Television and Radio Company already announced it would not pay a participant of the national qualifying round for Eurovision Song Contest for the expenses on audio recording, arrangement, preparing a performance and costumes.
