IMF mission started work in Minsk

The third mission of the International Monetary Fund on the post-program monitoring headed by David Hoffman arrived in Belarus.

The Mission’s work on the post-program monitoring will last until October 29th, as the Belarusian Representative Office informed.

The visit of the mission will provide the Belarusian authorities and the IMF representatives the opportunity to discuss the economic policy of Belarus and the prospects of the development of the national economy in 2013.

On October 12th Belarus executed the fourth payment under the stand-by credit of the International Monetary Fund in the amount of $99.4 million. Prior to that on October 1st Belarus executed the third payment of the main debt of $84.3 million.

Belarus also paid the main debt under the IMF stand-by credit on April and on July in the amount of $100.3 million and $97.8 million respectively.
