Process of BCD registration suspended

The Ministry of Justice has not declined registration of Belarusian Christian Democracy party.

As it can be concluded from the statement on the website of the Ministry of Justice, the media misinterpret the words by minister of justice Aleh Slizheuski, who said, as quoted by BelTA new agency, a number of violations were found in the BCD registration documents. In particular, there were errors in foundation documents and lists of party founders. “So, such documents cannot be considered legally valid,” the minister noted.

As the Ministry of Justice notes, “Minister of Justice Slizheuski talked in the interview on 19.01.2012 about the previous denied of registration of BCD party. The process of state registration of BCD party has been suspended,” BelaPAN reports.

The final decision on the application of the BCD founders will be taken in accordance with the law, the ministry’s statement reads.
