The Belarusian Christian Democracy party (BCD) has not received official papers from the Ministry of Justice confirming the denial of registration.

“This is information told to journalists by minister Slizheuski. This statement should not be views separately from Lukashenka yesterday’s remarks on a possible political reform. It means we must be ready the number of political prisoners may increase and pressure on NGOs may grow. BCD disavows Lukashenka’s statements. The denial of registration demonstrates how these ‘reforms’ will be conducted,” BCD co-chairman Vital Rymashesuki said to “Belorusski Partizan”.

“It’s a shame such people as Slizheuski represent the Belarusian judicial system,” the political said.

The BCD founders plan to go to court after receiving an official denial of registration.
