Mikalai Autukhovich to be tried today

The political prisoner may be transferred from a penal colony to a closed prison.

The court proceedings were initiated by the penal colony authorities. In their opinion, Autukhovich violated the internal rules and thus must serve sentence in stricter confinement conditions. The trial will be conducted in penal colony No. 5 in Ivatsevichy. It is expected that only a lawyer of the political prisoner will be allowed to visit the trial, Euroradio reports.

We remind that Mikalai Autukhovich serves a sentence of five years and two months in the penal colony in Ivatsevichy for illegal possession and transportation of five cartridges for a hunting gun. Last week, Mikalai Statkevich stood trial and was transferred from penal colony for a prison for three years.
