Nizhny Novgorod stands against Belarusian nuclear plant (Photo)

On January 11, an action against participation of Russia in construction of a nuclear power plant in Belarus was held in Nizhny Novgorod.

Activists of antinuclear movement of Nizhny Novgorod held a picket as Belarusian minister of energy Alyaksandr Azyarets and Belarusian minister of construction and architecture Anatoly Nichkasau were visiting the city to take part in the talks on NPP construction, “Belorusskie Novosti” reports.

Activists of antinuclear movement of Nizhny Novgorod carried out a picket of in front of the headquarters of NIAEP company dealing with nuclear plant engineering. A poster “Nizhny Novgorod residents stand against financing Belarusian NPP construction from Russian budget” was raised near the entrance to the building at 10 am.

Protests against financing of construction of the Belarusian NPP by Russia have earlier been held in St Petersburg and Moscow.
