VKontakte has day off on Wednesday

  • 27.07.2011, 13:06

Wednesdays have become days for silent protests for Belarusians and also days of blocked access to VKontakte social network.

Readers of charter97.org report that the social network site, used by Belarusians to coordinate “silent protests” in Belarusian towns, is blocked again. The website can be opened only through a proxy connection.

We’d like to draw you attention that the Belarusian secret service do not only block access to uncomfortable websites, but also create fake proxy servers to sniff passwords and collect personal data.

We strongly advise you to use Tor or search the Internet for reliable proxy servers.
