Russian airborne troops in Minsk

Over 150 Russian soldiers from the Pskov 76th Guards Airborne Division will take part in a military parade on July 3 on occasion of the official Independence Day of Belarus.

Interfax-AVN learnt this from Colonel Alexander Cherednik, an official representative of the press service and information department of the airborne forces.

“This honourary right has been given to the personnel of the 76th Guards Airborne Division based in Pskov, which was a division of the 1st and later 2nd Belarusian fronts during the war. It took part in liberation of a range of Belarusian towns,” Cherednik said.

160 soldiers of the ceremonial team in Pskov train to take part in the parade, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Defence noted.
