Dashkevich informed about tortures in Zhodzina remand prison

Zmitser Dashkevich, a Young Front leader, has filed a complaint to the prosecutor’s office against the actions of guards and administration of the remand prison #8 in Zhodzina.

Dashkevich has been kept in this remand prison for a week already before he is sent to the penal colony.

The activist informs the prosecutor’s office about bullying and abuse by prison guards, physical intimidation, insults related to ethnicity, prohibition to use native Belarusian language and other illegal actions, which are used against prisoners in Zhodzina prison, as said by Dashkevich, Radio Svaboda informs.

Dashkevich asks to carry out a general inspection of the state of affairs in the remand prison #8 and warns that he will complain to judicial institutions, international and human rights organisations.
